With over a decade’s worth of roots in Odissi, Anushka began her contemporary training in 2019 and has performed in several of Chowk’s recent productions, including from: The Platform (2019) Pallavi Through Abstractions (2021), and most recently, Odissi (2022), a full length classical production.

Anushka is professionally a graphic designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago  (2016).  She has been recognised as one of the 100 best designers from around the world by the Society of Typographic Arts. Before returning to Singapore, she worked as a full time designer in Chicago.

Fascinated by the beauty of an abstract new language of dance emerging from an old classical form, she hopes to explore the nuances of these movements further and grow as an artist.
